The internet while making the world smaller has increased the size of most company’s customer base and as a consequence many business people have to travel more widely.

This is putting an increasing strain on business travelers who often become stressed and fatigued at the constant need to be in another part of the world. Seasoned travelers may already be aware of the business travel tips below but if you are a new member of the business travelers club then you may find the information very useful.

Sometimes for instance, baggage goes missing; that is an unfortunate fact of travel and while it is distressing enough on a family holiday, on a business trip it can be disastrous. To reduce the chance of a wasted journey, always carry anything that is relevant to your trip in your hand luggage.

To make further space and allow you to pack a smaller bag, roll your clothing into tight cylinders, this allows you to pack things tightly and will help you to avoid wrinkles; remember this useful business travel tip. To go one step further, if you want to ensure that even if food or drink are spilled on your clothes you won’t need them laundered; use dark colors which are also handy because creases don’t show as much.

Another little trick that experienced travelers use is to carry hand and face wipes with them which can freshen your appearance in seconds without the need of a washroom. If you are only away for a couple of days make sure your cell phone and any other electronic equipment are fully charged so you can continue working at your convenience.

If you make effective use of your day time downtime while you are traveling, then you may be able to spend evenings exploring the areas once when you arrive at your business trip destination. These tips make sure that no matter what happens when you travel on business you will be able to continue with your plans and will not be left wondering what to do next.

Tools Of The Trade

My favorite tool would have to be my soldering torch. When I first started creating jewellery it was all cold work (work that had no soldered joints such as chainmaille).
This was ok to begin with, especially when you are learning how to make jump rings from scratch from a piece of wire. After a while though you want to get more adventurous and try out new ways to create jewellery and the only way to do that was to buy a soldering torch.

At first I was a bit scared of the torch I used one in my jewellery class and the first piece I tried to solder together I completely melted. So for home I cheated and bought a little torch this was ok for small work and small joints but not large pieces. The other problem with this torch was that it constantly ran out of fuel so no sooner I started to get into the project I ran out of fuel….a real bugger. After about 6 months I gave in and bought a proper soldering torch and now with my soldering torch I feel like I own the world (like the old saying goes boys with their toys) well this is a girl that loves her torch. There is nothing like sitting down at the table and joining silver together to make a piece of jewellery. Mind you I have had my fair share of scorched silver pieces to the point to total meltdown but I put it down to a learning process and the only limitation I have now is I when it comes to creating my items.

Wee Ones Little Things

I am the not-so-old wife of an awesome husband and busy stay at home mom of four amazing kids, ages: 11, 10, 5 and 2(all at home….obviously)!  I started making baby gear so I could “wear” my 2 year old son for attachment without breaking the bank (or my back). I made a few things here and there as my creative juices started flowing.  I felt inspired and God kept giving me ideas, so I kept making them! Once friends knew I could sew, they wanted to buy my great baby items. Now I have quite a few specialty items in my product line and a lot of essentials too.  All at once, I was in business and customers kept asking for more and wanted a website to view my products.
